Near Field Communication NFC
Near Field Communication (NFC) What is NFC? Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short-range wireless technology that allows devices to exchange data within a distance of about 4 centimeters (1.6 inches). It is based on radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology, but NFC is much faster and can exchange more data. How does NFC work? NFC works by using two coils of wire to create a magnetic field. When two NFC devices are brought close together, their magnetic fields interact and create a communication channel. Devices can then exchange data using this channel. What can NFC be used for? NFC can be used for a variety of purposes, including: Contactless payments: NFC is used to make contactless payments at stores and restaurants. Data sharing: NFC can be used to share photos, videos, and other files with other NFC devices. Device pairing: NFC can be used to pair devices, such as Bluetooth speakers and headphones, with your phone. Smart device control: NFC can be used to control s...
