Lightning

Image
Hello everyone, welcome to my video blog. Today I'm going to talk about lightning, a natural phenomenon that can be both beautiful and dangerous.  Lightning is an electrical discharge that occurs when a region of a cloud acquires an excess electrical charge, either positive or negative, that is sufficient to break down the resistance of air.  Lightning can heat the air up to 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit, which is five times hotter than the sun's surface. Lightning causes thunder, a sound from the shock wave that develops as gases in the vicinity of the discharge experience a sudden increase in pressure. Lightning can affect humans and nature in different ways. If you are struck by lightning, you may suffer from burns, rupturing of the eardrum, eye damage, cardiac arrest, and respiratory arrest.  Lightning can also damage vital organs such as the heart and brain, and cause long-term complications such as nerve damage, hearing loss, vertigo, and psychological trauma.  Lightning can
