Hello and welcome to my channel where I review and demonstrate various electrical products and accessories. In this video, I’m going to show you the Schneider Electric PVC Acti 9 40-Ampere 2-Pole 30Ma Rccb, which is a residual current circuit breaker that can protect your electrical circuits from leakage currents and earth faults.

This Rccb is made of polycarbonate material and has a white color. It has a standard size and can fit in any standard distribution board. It has a rated current of 40 amperes and a rated voltage of 415 volts. It has two poles and a sensitivity of 30 milliamperes.

The Rccb works by detecting any imbalance between the live and neutral wires of a circuit. If the imbalance exceeds the sensitivity of the Rccb, it will trip and disconnect the circuit from the power supply. This way, it can prevent electric shocks, fires, and damage to appliances.

To install the Rccb, you need to follow these steps:

Turn off the main switch of your distribution board and make sure there is no power supply to the circuit you want to protect.
Remove the cover of your distribution board and locate an empty slot for the Rccb.
Connect the incoming live wire to the top terminal of the Rccb marked as L1.
Connect the outgoing live wire to the bottom terminal of the Rccb marked as L2.
Connect the incoming neutral wire to the top terminal of the Rccb marked as N1.
Connect the outgoing neutral wire to the bottom terminal of the Rccb marked as N2.
Secure the Rccb in place with screws or clips and make sure it is firmly attached to the rail.
Replace the cover of your distribution board and turn on the main switch.
Test the Rccb by pressing the test button on its front panel. The Rccb should trip and cut off the power to the circuit. If it does not, check your wiring and connections and try again.
