What are the different types of motor pumps
The motor pumps are devices that use a motor to drive a pump. A pump is a device that moves fluids (liquids or gases) by mechanical action. There are different types of pumps, such as:
Dynamic pumps use centrifugal force to create velocity and pressure in the fluid. They have a rotating impeller that pushes the fluid out of the pump. They are fast, cheap and reliable, but they can have lower image quality and higher initial cost. Examples of dynamic pumps are centrifugal pumps, vertical centrifugal pumps, horizontal centrifugal pumps and submersible pumps1.
Positive displacement pumps use a fixed volume of fluid and force it into the discharge pipe. They have a mechanism that expands and contracts a cavity to move the fluid. They are constant flow machines that can produce high pressure and handle viscous fluids, but they can be slow, noisy and expensive to maintain. Examples of positive displacement pumps are diaphragm pumps, gear pumps, peristaltic pumps, lobe pumps and piston pumps
